In the picture below, Liz and Eric Soard (red dress with Eric on her right) are commissioned as GBGM Missionaries at General Conference. Liz is the daughter of Rev. Bill Buchanan and is a candidate for ministry in the Central District. They both are currently home for commissioning but currently serve as missionaries in Africa. Liz and Eric will also welcome a new son into their family very soon! Congratulations to them for all the wonderful things God is doing in their lives!

NEW! Hands-on Missions @ Annual Conference! Beginning 1:30 p.m., Monday afternoon, June 11. It's time to show how Arkansas United Methodists can transform Fort Smith (and other places) through hands-on mission. On-site projects ( Stop Hunger Now meal packaging and Knitting for a Cause) and Off-site projects (Clothes Closet, Acts of Kindness, Graffiti Removal, Compassion Project and a Flash Mission). There's something for everyone, regardless of age or ability. Projects are filling up fast. To read about all the opportunities, go to arumc.org.
